Apple Powermac is just not another machine and it's OS is just not another UNIX variant. With my limited experience with the system, I found the design of the machine to be a piece of art; and it's OS, atleast a couple of generation ahead of any windowsxp or it's service pack (I don't mind blowing it up a little bit). The price tag and having to learn a new system are the only things giving me second thoughts. With that price I can buy an uber-pc with uber-power for chess. Or I could get a mac. pavs
