Subject: Caveat regarding changing the hash table size in CM6000

Several of you have reported changing the CM.INI file to change the hash table
size in CM6000.

BE VERY CAREFUL HERE! There can be SEVERAL INI files in your Chessmaster
directory and subdirectories, and it can result in you THINKING you changed the
hash table size, but did not.

Specifically, every time you create a new user, you create a new directory in
the Users directory under your Chessmaster directory, and a copy of CM.INI is
placed there. When you log in as that user, it is THIS INI file that is loaded,
NOT the CM.INI file in the Chessmaster directory. So, you MUST edit the INI file
of the user that you are logging in as (named USER.INI, where "USER" is your
login name), rather than the CM.INI file that is located in the Chessmaster
directory proper.

If you log in as "Guest", then I BELIEVE the CM.INI in the Chessmaster directory
is the one that is used. I would advise against this, however, just to be on the
safe side....
