Subject: How to add a chess engine (like crafty) to my chess game

Hi guys,

  I am doing a chess program as a project.I am building the interface using
directx. I would like to include single player support with computer opponent.
For this i intend to use some chess engine. Now how do i do this?. I am not
using winboard or xboard interface rather i am implementing my own.If anyone
knows how to do this or has done this before please tell me how .
