However for me it is clear that Rebel8/9 plays clearly better with 28mb hash than 60mb (2h/40) on a "slow" computer like P200MMX. It is both slower and can play weaker moves with 60mb hash. The manual or helpfile should include recommendations for hash/time vs computer. For instance on faster time-controls CM6000 plays better with small hash-tables. Mr de Koning said that 16mb was more than enough for his program in 2h/40. He also recommended smaller tables for speed-chess. Greetings Bertil!
