This must be the first time ever that my engine is faster than Crafty, Rebel
and The King.  Glaurung 0.2.2 on an iMac G5 1.8 GHz announces mate in 15 after
8 seconds and 11 plies:

I wonder why Crafty, Rebel and The King have problems with this position.
Glaurung does not use any special tricks, except the usual extensions for
checks, single-reply-to-checks, mate threats and checks at the first ply of
the qsearch.  I would expect most programs which use all of these common
extensions to find this mate in just a few seconds.

Pretty mate, by the way.  Which game is it taken from?
