Recently I discovered in the bottom of my desk drawer an old Novag "Solo." My goodness, it must be 10 or 15 years old by now. Still works though! My problem is that I can't find the manual. Can someone answer a coupla questions for me? Please? As I am rarely on this discussion group, please send your response to me at lar@uclink4.berkeley.edu. The 12 buttons on the Novag Solo are configured and labeled like this: • • • • A1 B2 C3 D4 • • • • E5 F6 G7 H8 ep fp black white • • • • new game/ level take back enter clear board 1. How do I get to the screen which allows me to enter a mid-game position manually, square by square? 2. I seem to remember being able to enter a square and have the Novag Solo tell me what piece it thought was occupying the square at that time. Is this indeed possible? How? Thanks ever so much for your help.
