Subject: Touch Chess by Excalibur handheld. Tiny review.

After getting dissapointed with my Palm T3, uncapable of giving me battery life
enough to end just one game with any of the row of great programs I have there,
I took the heroic measure of purchasing a relatively cheap handheld unit powered
with simple AAA batteries, Touch Chess by Excalibur, with perhaps the best
program to date produced by Ron Nelson.
And I have been happily surprised.
The unit is lot stronger that you can imagine. Not like Saphire or perhaps Ruby,
but strong enough to give you more than a decent game. Looking at it over my
shoulder, I essayed some daring atacks that finished with a lost game. He knows
how to defend. He knows how to move the King in endings. He knows how to push
the pawns. He can beat you if only you go too fast for a killing.
I dare to say it is a 2000 thing, at least 1900.
Or perhaps without my knowledge I have lost 500 points of my previous elo.
In any case, batteries does not exhaust in the middle of the flight...
