Of course, there's another factor. Israel is Israel. There must be something which keeps the prices very high.(Import) tax used to be, I think 40-50%, but is now (I hear) 20%. But prices still remain very high for some reason. I might suspect fowl [fowel? foul?] play (I mean, taking advantage of what the public has become accustomed to). But I don't know. The same goes for electronic music equipment, stereo systems etc. I don't know if mailing should be the reason, because it doesn't seem to be such a big problem with internet orders. I'd be interested to know if any Israelis (or anyone) know the reason. Why is it, that I would be MUCH better off bringing in laptop computers and paying 20% tax, than buying them in Israel? S.Taylor
