Hi Brian I recommand u not to buy Fritz8 Bilbao, the engine has slight different style of play but is as string as F8.00.8, sothat if u are looking for performance buy Shredder9 or Junior9 if u don't have them. What could be interesting is if ChessBase will let all the updates could play together in the same GUI, them determining the strongest version will become more easier but also we will get plenty of different strong engines even if they aren't the strongest. I still believe that Deep Fritz 7 is among the 2 best engines (DF7 and DF8) of the fritz family even if running in a single CPU. Shredder 9 finds much difficulty when facing DF7 for example.
