No, it is shut completely to Guests. It is not beneficial to computer chess but
ultimately who cares? Someone will take it's place. I can guess who that is.

Also, no, it is not the same at Arena. Anyone can write at Arena whether they
are a guest or not.

At Exactachess there is a closed membership that disallows writing to Guests but
all can read, including Guests.

Well you know old history. Things could have worked out quite differently if the
right thing had been done by one particular person.
The only reason why the Winboard forum is no longer a Parsimony Forum is because
it was booted out of Parsimony.

Someone used Uli Turke's (Comet) password to write when not allowed to do so.

We did not approve and they Parsimony agreed. Next thing that happens is the
Winboard Forum gets told to leave.

People in a position of power and having access to personal information should
not abuse that power.

It's old hat now......but nothing has changed. Time does not mean we forget. We
only try to forget when the right things are done to make ammends.

Then why are you here? Are you here to advertise like Tord? I doubt it. I know
you and you are only discussing something which is alright. You do this politely
and are not brazen about it.

An expression of preference is fine but to find that those who cause the problem
then start acting "holier than thou", when they are the people who cause(d) the
problem by demonstration is rich.

That is anything but productive. If we are to believe Tord, there is no solution
to the troll problem in the CCC except to go where the troll creators live. His
solution is.....if you can't beat them, join them. Just wait some time when
everyone forgets and all of a sudden you become a saint again.

I doubt this will happen also.

There are more posts in the CCC than any other forum. In fact there are more
posts here than all the main forums put together. The Winboard Forum is small by
comparison.

It is good that we can see what peoples agenda's are by the way they act.

Some are very transparent......I think you know who I mean......

Chris
