Any complaint you have about the Winboard forum being restricted applies to many other forums. As I pointed out, any one with any interest in the Winboard forum can register an account and browse the site within minutes. I didn't have any problems with turnaround time. If you don't like these restricted forums, then you can try to revive the newsgroups. I used to look at the Winboard forum before it was closed, but hadn't looked into it for a while due to time constraints. When I looked today I noticed Fabian giving a brief explanation of some data structures in Fruit 2.1 (?) to Uri. (Somebody in this thread complained that all of the postings there are related to tournaments.) Keith
