Maybe it will, maybe it won't.  If it really does become very popular,
I will be very disappointed.  FRC is one of the least interesting of
the numerous chess variants I have seen.  It is already depressing
to see how much attention it gets compared to the many more
interesting chess-like games out there.  I really hope this trend does
not continue.   :-(

I have nothing against abandoning classical chess in favor of some
new, more exciting chess variant.  But please, let's choose
something better than FRC.
