In the CEGT games, the best data we have for the two engines, the only remarkable thing about the results between Spike and Glaurung is the very high percentage of draws. After 22 games, it's 4 wins, 3 losses and 15 draws for Glaurung. Of course the comparison is not entirely fair, because the latest public version of Spike is rather old, while Glaurung 0.2.4 was released just a couple of weeks ago. In my experience, the real nightmare opponents for Glaurung are Yace Paderborn, Pepito 1.59 and Hiarcs 9.6. Against all of these, Glaurung consistently underperforms by at least 100 Elo points. Tord
