Go up one level in this thread

I think it is importantant to understand a coulple of things when it comes to
discussing someone nuts like Fischer.

1.You don't need to be a mental health proffesional to know when someone is
mentally ill. If they are ranting & raving about how they would like to see bad
things done to you or your kind, you can be pretty sure that they are mentally
ill (Nuts for the layman). Further, even if you are wrong about them being,
'officially, clinically mentally ill', it is certainly a realatively gentel
thing for you to say about them, compared to what they are saying about you.
Further, when it is a famous personality that is mentally ill, (or whatever you
prever to call it), that is spouting off about you, and/or your kind, it is much
more harmful what they are doing, then your reaction of calling them the above.
Because they are unfortunately getting noticed by the media, and the greater
masses of people are getting to hear what they have to say, rather then anything
you have to say. That's why it is vitaly important for many people to come
forward to deal with these horrid rantings of this mentally ill person (or agian
whatever you prefer to call him), so that there is some widely heard
counteraction to this ranting. Whatever this mentally ill person says then can
(hopefully), be somewhat ballanced by the public's ultimately more relistic
understanding. (And at least they have both sides).

2. I dissagree about your claiming not to be looking for flames when it comes to
this subject, or maybe its just me, but when it comes to a racist meglomaniac
taking a stand agianst me, my race (or even any race of people), I have to be
more than just an objective bystander. I must take a stand and voice my
displeasure, sadness, and contempt for such individuals existing in our society.
I think the quote is something like, 'Those that do not study history, are
condemed to repeat it' Well when it comes to Madman spouting about what they
would like to see happen to the Jews (or fill in the blank), I take a stand, and
have to have an opinion, not be impartial, and try to ad my own vioce how much I
am against nut-cases like Fischer.

I really am not looking to 'abuse you', but merely by posting that "I submit no
opinion on the issues re Fischer here.", in my opinion is a contrast in terms;
This has become a thread about ones stand against Fischer's behavior in the
media, and against Anti-Semitism in particuler. So just by posting you are
taking a stand arent you?
