Well, Steve, I wouldn't compare up to any real collectors, but I did buy my
first real dedicated chess computer in 1990 (if I remember correctly). It was a
Mephisto Exclusive Polgar (I've always loved to play this program - because it
is not prohibitively strong with the tactics, it seems more humanlike). Thanks a
million to Ed Schroeder on that one, I feel I've definitely got my money out of
it. I'd started reading CCR in 1988 or 1989 and caught the bug. I bought a few
more here and there but in the last few years I've picked up several thanks to
Ebay. Now I have a bit of a collection and maybe I'll post some pictures to the
web soon.
