Even that might "affect things" greatly if a programmer is having trouble making ends meet, and has to decide whether to take a job or continue enjoying his hobby. You're a graduate student now. When I was a graduate student, I had a fellowship, but I wasn't rich, and a few hundred dollars meant something. A more troubling issue is that other people should respect a single person trying to make an honest buck through his own intense effort. If Zappa is pirated 100,000 times, I find troubling, because it tells me that other human beings will screw you if they can just find a way. That's bothers me. That "affects things." Roger
