Fear? You are under the misapprehension that most people are paying for an engine when they buy chess software. They are not. As I said before, Crafty has been more than strong enough for 99.9% of the chessplaying population for years and yet people continue to buy Fritz and ChessMaster in droves. Why? For the extra 50 Elo points? Of course not. For the GUI, for online play, for database features, etc. I agree ChessBase.com should have posted the result. But they didn't cover the event from the start, so reading their minds on the matter isn't really helpful.
