Subject: Question To The Engine Experts

Author: Steve B

The Phoenix Resurrection is a dedicated computer that currently contains the
Ruffian Engine
it runs on a Intel StrongARM Processor at 203Mhz

extensive worldwide testing has shown it to be slightly weaker then the Tasc
R40/30 computers ( V2.5-King)which are currently the worlds strongest dedicated
computer's

in a very short time(days) the Resurrection will be provided with 3 additional
programs as follows:

Deep Sjeng 1.8
Fruit 2.1
Toga 1.0

as soon as the update is in place, testing will begin in earnest to determine
which if any of these programs can clearly beat the Tasc R30/R40 computer and if
so ,take the much coveted title of Worlds Strongest Dedicated Computer held by
Tasc for over 10 years

only one of these programs need demonstrate superiority over the Tasc for the
title to change hands

with that as a background..

which program has the best chance of soundly defeating the Tasc's??

as is well known the Tasc contains De Koinig's King Program as seen in the
Chessmaster PC Programs

is it a simple matter of me looking up which of these 3 are currently rated the
highest on the SSDF lists or is one program known to be stronger against the
King ?

i would like to be able to "cut to the chase" here and test the program with the
best chances to win rather then go through all three at random

many collectors are eager to see the title change hands as quickly as possible

most testing will be done at Game /30 minutes although normal tournament time
controls of 40/2HRS will also be tested

Best
Steve
