I would have guessed less than that based on both the SSDF and the results on diminishing returns. Right now I am guessing that 1 extra ply brings about roughly 50-60 elo, if that much, and that it takes about 2.5x speed to achieve that, if one presumes a branching factor of 2.5. Albert
