No kidding... MacChess 5.0.1 doesn't see a mate (in 12) until 16-ply (ten hours,
albeit I was running a second evaluation in the background):

 4. Nf6+ Kh8
 5. Qxf7 Qa7
 6. Nd7 Qxd7
 7. Qxd7 Rg8
 8. Kxg2 g5

12. Qxg7+
