Hi Chris,
in the context of this forum "computer chess" should mean "computer chess
algorithms" (for the engine) and chess engine performance/knowledge, and this
forum has posts well beyond the scope it should have. I'm even more strict than
the moderators.
Sure, it should allow a certain degree of freedom, but for other stuff maybe we
should consider the 'Chess Thinkers Forum'.
Many times in the past I felt like saying something about this, but this is the
first time I said it, it should be more chess engine algorithm oriented and
engine optimization. Just make a search for posts with my name and you will see
what I mean.
Now a proposal for the moderators, why not make a faq (or something like that)
wich would explain the kind of topics that should be allowed here, as for other
matters, simply go to the 'Chess Thinkers Forum'. This way we could save a lot
of "why was my post deleted?".

Best regards,
Alvaro Cardoso
