My own testing methodology has never been good enough, I'm afraid. For most of the ideas I have tried over the last few years, I have never really made up my mind about whether they work or not. It is somewhat depressing that Glaurung, which still is a very simple and minimalistic engine, plays so much better than the much more complicated and intelligent Gothmog. Tord
