My own testing methodology has never been good enough, I'm
afraid. For most of the ideas I have tried over the last few years,
I have never really made up my mind about whether they work
or not. It is somewhat depressing that Glaurung, which still
is a very simple and minimalistic engine, plays so much better
than the much more complicated and intelligent Gothmog.
