Hi Jonas, there is a way to bypass that even in the new gui 9... create an uci engine and change properties there, then u have to give a name to it like fruit 2.2_c and save it .. this do with any changing of of the original exe-file and give it different names (maybe u have a lot engines now ) ... never change properties in the gui!!! But if play the new engine u can proof the settings with right click into the engine window, there u will see all is ok :)) best regards Erhart
