There is one factor which could be slightly advantageous for Glaurung in FRC: My program is extremely weak in the endgame, and FRC puts the endgame a tiny bit further away. In normal chess, some pieces have usually been exchanged when the programs leave their opening books. I doubt that there are any big differences in the relative strengths of the various programs in FRC compared to normal chess, though. Glaurung is certainly nowhere near as strong as Shredder or Spike in FRC. Tord
