two ideas for the difference ... 1) slower L2 cache (probably 100mhz instead of PII's 166 or so. 2) Crafty uses a bunch of 64bit operations which the AMD might not handle as well. just guessing. If you Front Side Bus Speed for you AMD is set to 66 instead of 100 that's an even bigger L2 cache speed differential. just guessing. Nelson.
