Hi Fernando, Writing from Australia, us southern hemisphere people have to stick together. Those northern mob are nothing but trouble, right? ;-) But I can relate to what you are saying. I had a couple of those early Fidelity machines, and found they were unreliable. I've got a Novag Expert 4mHz, dated around 1985. Bought it slightly second hand from a young woman who had busted up with her boyfriend and sold his chess comp to recover an unpaid loan. So I don't know how legal the deal was. Anyway, that was back in the '80s. Like yours, the add claims one playing strength and computer rating lists say something quite different. I think it's a bit stronger than your Fidelity. I play it occasionally and, like you, will win or lose depending on my disposition at the time, and what distractions there are. But it's a grand old beast, more than just a chess player. It's a piece of furniture, a conversation piece, memorabillia. You know what I'm talking about. regards Lin
