I was being sarcastic, not emotional. There are a lot of people here who have computer accounts and I'd be willing to bet that at least 90% of the ones that do are members of CCC, so dismissing them as a bunch of jockeys or stating that they should be banned is in my opinion quite rude. It would be like my going to a horserace track and proclaiming that people who bet on horses are fools. But all nonsense aside, the point is if you don't want to play because the opposition is WAY too strong, then don't. The (C) ensures that the opponent knows it is a computer account, and the rating how strong a computer. If I have nothing against playing a comp but would rather avoid one that is rated at 2900 then I'll choose one at 2500. Hiarcs 7 isn't the end-all of end-alls despite Mark's enthusiasm. Don't get me wrong, it's a great program but it isn't without competition. Against humans, it has yet to prove it is superior to Rebel, and against other computers, it's 1 point edge over Fritz 5.32 on SSDF, is not significant, and I doubt it will hold it. Just an opinion of course. I don't see how the existence of computer accounts detracts from your enjoyment of the server. You don't have to play them. I will say one thing about computer ratings, and here it is true that it does screw them up and cause inevitable inflation. Actually, I'll post something on this.
