SS stands for Shrunken SD. Anyway, your question is good, the Star Diamonds, aka SS, last book move was 13. Nc7+. The Berlin Pro got two more book moves. I guess I overlooked that in posting because I was only interested in making a point about how the Berlin Pro didn't like the position it had coming out of book, although I should note that's often the case with Sicilians. The Sicilian is intended to maintain equality while throwing out the balance in the position, in an attempt to win. This "throwing out the balance" also throws off the computers evaluation, but in reality this may boil down to 1..c5 not being as good as 1..e5 were the entire tree of chess moves mapped out. OK, now I've said enough to get stoned (with rocks), so I'll run. Cheers, Chuck
