Subject: Humble apologies.

I did not mean any insult to anyone, but looking at this thread i feel obliged
to apologize to Mr Robertson. I only wanted to point out that the version of TCB
used in the torney was way out of date. I also recognize the fact that we were
talking about two different concepts of computer strength. In saying a run for
its money I'd mean allround strength an weaknesses against many different
opponents, thats why I pointed out the inherent asymmetry in competitions A vs B
vs C. I now think he was talking about results in matches A vs B only. As of the
substraction I as a mathematician have no recourse but to fall on the sword, or
read what I type. That aside I heartily recommend The Crazy Bishop as a strong
chess program.
