Hi Dann !, i don't think that EGTB increase the strength so much. Rypka is strong positional playing chess engine like a human IM Player with less nodes per second and very deep thinking, maybe this engine looks only the good moves in a position like selective search. clearly is the weakness in the endgame, but in the openings and middlegame it is good enough.
