i've been running a number of chess engine tournements, and notice that fruit does poorly and short time controls (e.g., 5 minutes a game), wheras Rybka and fritz 9 do pretty well. Fritz 8 also does well at the short time controls Can anybody explain this? Does it have to do with the amount of chess knowledge (e.g., rybka has a lot of knowledge, wheras perhaps fruit emphasizes search depth best Joseph
