Yes, this is of course one of the reasons why "being rich" doesn't mean the same amount of $s everywhere in the world. It depends on what kind of society you live in. In Norway, for instance, most people have no need of a health insurance, university fees are really small (around $200/year), and heating and electricity is cheap. My current net income is about $32,000 per year, which is actually very comfortable, despite vacation expenses much bigger than yours. :-) Tord
