Good description.  :-)

I suggested the pronounciation "Ribka" for those monolingual English
speakers who don't want to learn any new sounds, and thanks to your
excellent recipe above the perfectionists who want to get it exactly right
should be able to learn the correct pronounciation.

Just remember to roll the R (like in Spanish or Italian) as well.
