Subject: Computer cheating, another perspective?

We've seen quite a lot in this forum about computer cheating. One recent thread
started with someone submitting a game from a suspected cheater, and asking if
others agreed with him. There have been many discussions and arguments of this
kind on RGCC as well. Many of these threads seem to start with the point of
view that a particular person, named or unnamed, is guilty of cheating, and give
arguments in favor of this view.

I would find it interesting to hear another side of this. I believe we have a
number of readers who are considered expert in tracking cheaters. Do they have
any stories of accusations that turned out to be definitely unjustified? For
those who may investigate such accusations for ICC, FICS, etc, how often do
inexpert players make unjustified accusations?

Best Wishes,

Marc
