It is clearly a bad idea to spend a lot of time on parallel search in case that you want to do your best in tournaments. Rybka on single processor is better than Deep Junior or Deep Shredder on 2 processors and maybe it could be different in case that stefan and Amir spent 0 time on parallel search and more time on different improvements.
