I guess it is time for me to chime in....
If the CCC existed 5 years ago, and if Larry were to have
posted back then that he had bought "this or that" from a
competitor, I might have been bothered.

But the chess computer software and hardware part of our
business is no longer a life and death struggle for us. That
doesn't mean that we wish the CCC to be an advertising forum
for our competitors, but certainly I cannot mistake Larry's
enthusiasm for some purposeful attempt to hurt ICD. But, on
the other hand, I appreciate and understand Bruce's defense
against "advertising" ICD competitors on CCC (or advertising
anything, for that matter).

When we dove into this CCC idea two years ago, we thought of the
consequences of having chess people, who may have purchased product
elsewhere, talking about what they bought and even where they
purchased it, but we felt that the goodwill (and sales) we would
gain by creating the forum and maintaining it, would outweigh
the negatives. Looking back on that decision two years ago, I
think we were correct in our assumptions.
