Greetings I've tried (and owned) most of them. The ultimate pocket chess computer is a 3COM Palm Pilot with the PocketChess program. A Palm Pilot is PDA (personal digital assistant) which can be purchased at any consumer electronics mass-merchandiser. It's the size of a deck of cards and plays strong enough to amuse while waiting in line at the airport. Backlit LCD display so there are no pieces to lose. It costs three times as much as the not-so-pocket-sized dedicated units but you get what you pay for. Beside chess it a phenomenol pocket organiser/computer David
