When I run Rybka under the Fritz GUI I use the Fritz 8.ctg book for Rybka. When I run Rybka under the Shredder 9UCI interface I use the Shredder 9 book. When I tested the original Rybka Beta it was ahead of all other programs except Fruit and Toga and it played without a book. It seems the two books I use give it a big jump in strength vs no book as you would expect. Jim
