I am not sure, this needs to be investigated. YBW already needs the full
threading capability, ie. no globals (locks are I am pretty sure out of the
question), etc. To tell the truth I haven't really thought about it in the
context of a chess program - of course all of my UI stuff is multi-threaded but
something tells me that's a lot easier :)
