I am not sure of the logic here. Even assuming that the difference in the two rating lists is due entirely to the inclusion of comp v human results in one list, the fact that program A when playing against humans shows a greater relative improvement over its own performance against computers than program B does in ITS games against humans and computers does not mean that program A is necessarily better against humans that program B is. Program B may be stronger against both, although by a lesser margin against human competition. eric
