The Chessmater personality ratings are based on three things:

1) Several thousand games played between all of the personalities.

2) The ratings are increased on a machine-speed basis. In other words, the
faster the machine, the higher the rating for every personality. This is why
sometimes the ratings for these personalities will be different each time you
fire up Chessmaster, depending on what else is running at the time. This also
accounts for potentially large differences between machines of different
processor speed.

3) The "Grandmaster" personalities are all fixed at 2500, regardless of machine
speed, probably due to not wanting to cause any heated arguments.... ;-)
