Im sure KK absence is felt, but I feel the greatest reason is because new and exciting programs are not coming out at the moment. I personally want a program I could interface with the chess servers and play with a electronic board. And better training drills (opening, endgame, tactics), and better annotations. Also a program that will analyze all my games and suggest a study plan for my weaknesses. That program probably won't exist for another 15-20 years or more, and would probably need a quantum leap in AI development! I basically want a human chess coach on a CD!! LOL ;)
