It's a bit more complicated, I'm afraid. The original offer made no mention of a
book. But the customers after december or so, were promised a book for their
money. It is reasonable - as many engines make use of an internal bookformat -
to at least make clear on the Rybka-website that the book will be in
.CTG-format. No mention, as far as I know, was made that it will be a Chessbase
book. Personally I don't complain: I was one of the original customers, at that
time a book was not offere, I happen to have a ChessBase product and I feel that
Vasik does a wonderful job. But I repeat, not everyone bought Rybka in december.
That's the problem as far as I see it. Finally let's not forget that Vasik
promised the final version of Rybka in January - that was also part of the
original deal. Maybe he feels a moral obligation, now that he isn't able to give
what he promised, to give some extra goodies. It then suddenly transpires that
one of these goodies can only be used by customers who have already another
program.
