Freedom of Speech is an interesting concept but there's no guarantee. I believe
you must always fight for it, like any freedom.

It's always relative too...

Forums such as this with a specified primary topic are predefined as NOT having
Freedom of Speech! You're only allowed to post on topic. How much leeway is
granted is up to the moderators. The current group of moderators are not
granting much leeway, IMHO, which can be remedied at the next moderator
elections if sufficient members are interested and suitable candidates are
willing to run. That's assuming they don't ban all of their opponents in the
meantime. :)

This situation might also be remedied by having different levels or kinds of
forums in the same group. Nobody should be banned from the lowest level forum,
anything goes. Ascending to the next higher level would be granted automatically
after 1-3 months without a problem, etc. It's an idea anyway. I don't favor
permanent banning of anyone which creates too many bad vibes, all around the
world.
