Maybe your athlon64  is infected by a virus that makes it slower or maybe
another application run at the same time that chess programs run on it.

I wonder how much speed improvement you have from the Athlon64 relative to the
PentII 450

Rybka is strong but I doubt it it is strong enough top beat Deep Fritz8 at vlitz
with more than 1:7 time disadvantage(remember that the 32 bit version is used on
PII450).
