I tried different flavours for Snitch: [ply][piecetype][to], [ply][from][to] But none of the payed off. For me the simplest [piecetype][to] works best and needs only 12*64 = 768 entries - very cachefriendly. IMHO the history table concept works best if it's kept global. Don't try to get it more local, use killers to gain more locality. Regards, Klaus Friedel
