Wasn't the goal of the match to show that Hiarcs could make hay even on an "ordinary" computer? If so, it still makes sense to run Hiarcs on a P-III 500. That's the cutting edge today, but tomorrow, it's just your average system, and the day after tomorrow, it's behind the curve.
