I would not consider the Aegon tourneys any evidence of GM strength whatsoever. This is due to the fact that alot of the human opponents were less than IM strength. I think any 2500-rated player could easily achieve a 2600+ Tournament Performance Rating if most of his opponents are 2200-2400 rated. You'll have to find other evidence, some of the other things you mentioned might be valid, but this is not a basis for GM-strength. Chuck
