I am looking for the best freeware engine that is compatible with Winboard, right now I have Crafty 16.6, but everyone is using that. I don't have a credit card so therefore I can't get a good commercial engine, aslo none of the software stores in my area carry such programs. I run a computer account on FICS and ICC and wouldlike the best program of course, I have heard conflicting reports on this and would like to know which is the best Winboard compatible engine, and it has to be free.
