I have found the "Best Ways To Checkmate" to be one of the most accurate test suites. Of those problems where none of the programs I have tried found a checkmate, it seems obvious that a checkmate does exist (except for the last few here). When you are up by more than a queen, checkmate is pretty nearly certain. So my questions are: 0. Does anyone's program find the actual checkmate for any of the following 16 problems? 1. Are the last two really checkmates? I think not. 1r3rk1/3b2p1/3q1nQp/R7/2p1p3/2N4P/PP2R1P1/1B5K b - -; acd 12; ce 1456; pv Ng4 g3 Qxg3 Rf5 Qxh3+ Kg1 Qg3+ Kh1 Rxf5 Qxf5 Bxf5 Bc2 Rxb2 Nd5; bm Ng4; pm Ng4; id "BWTC.0265" r2qk1r1/p4p2/bp2pQp1/1n1pP1Bp/7P/3P2N1/P1R2PP1/2R3K1 w q -; acd 15; ce 1390; pv Rc8 Rxc8 Rxc8 Kd7 Rxd8+ Rxd8 Qxd8+ Kc6 Qe8+ Kb7 Qxf7+ Nc7 Bd8 Bxd3 Qxc7+ Ka6 Qc8+ Kb5 Qxe6 Kc4 Qf7 Kd4 Qxa7; bm Rc8; pm Rc8; id "BWTC.0005" r4r1k/1ppn1p1p/3p1pn1/p2P1N2/2P2PB1/5R1Q/PPq3PP/R5K1 w - -; acd 13; ce 1364; pv Qh6 Qxg2+ Kxg2 Nxf4+ Qxf4 Rg8 Rg3 Ne5 Ne7 Nxg4 Nxg8 Rxg8 Rxg4 Rg6 Rf1 Kg7 Rxg6+ hxg6 Qxf6+; bm Qh6; pm Qh6; id "BWTC.0087" r3rn1k/pbqnb1pp/1pp2p2/2P2P2/2BPQ2N/P3PR2/1P4PP/R1B3K1 w - -; acd 15; ce 1304; pv Qe6 Qxh2+ Kxh2 Bd6+ Qxd6 Rad8 Qc7 Bc8 Qxc6 Nb8 Qa8 Bd7 Qxa7 Bc6 Bf7 bxc5 Bxe8 Bxf3; bm Qe6; pm Qe6; id "BWTC.0563" r3nr1k/ppqbNpp1/7p/2p1p3/2B4Q/P4P2/1PP4P/2KR2R1 w - -; acd 12; ce 1222; pv Rxg7 Qb6 Rg6 Qxg6 Nxg6+ Kg7 Nxf8 Bg4 Qe7 Nd6 Qxe5+ Kg8 Rxd6 Bxf3; bm Rxg7; pm Rxg7; id "BWTC.0548" 2Q5/5ppk/7p/Q7/8/5P1R/5KPP/1q1q4 b - -; acd 14; ce 1169; pv Qd4+ Kg3 Qd6+ f4 Qbd3+ Kg4 Qe2+ Rf3 Qxg2+ Rg3 Qg6+ Qg5 Qe2+ Rf3 hxg5 Kg3 gxf4+ Kh4 Qxf3 Qf8; bm Qd4+; pm Qd4+; id "BWTC.0758" 2k4r/1pp1q1p1/2n1b3/1Q3p1p/2Pr2n1/6P1/3NPPBP/R4RK1 w - -; acd 15; ce 1150; pv Bxc6 bxc6 Qxc6 Kd8 Ra8+ Bc8 Rxc8+ Kxc8 Ra1 Qb4 Ra8+ Qb8 Qe6+ Rd7 Qa6+ Kd8 Rxb8+ Ke7 Rxh8 Nf6 Nf3 Rd1+ Kg2 g6 Qa5 Rd7 Qe5+ Kf7 Nd4; bm Qxb7+; pm Bxc6; id "BWTC.0057" 6k1/5rpp/8/2Np4/1Pn3R1/4Q2P/q2r1PP1/5RK1 w - -; acd 12; ce 987; pv Qe8+ Rf8 Rxg7+ Kxg7 Ne6+ Kf6 Qxf8+ Kxe6 Re1+ Re2 Rxe2+ Qxe2 Qe8+ Kd6 Qxe2 Kc6 Qh5 Kb5 Qxd5+ Kxb4 Qb7+ Kc3 Qxh7; bm Rxg7+; pm Qe8+; id "BWTC.0557" 1k6/p5p1/PpB4p/2b5/4P1b1/2N5/1P3qPP/2Q4K b - -; acd 16; ce 935; pv Be3 Qxe3 Qxe3 h3 Bxh3 Kh2 Bc8 Ba4 Qf4+ Kg1 Qc1+ Nd1 b5 Bb3 Bg4 e5 Bxd1 Bxd1 Qxd1+; bm Bh3; pm Be3; id "BWTC.0591" r1b1r1k1/ppq2p1p/3b1ppQ/2n5/8/3B2N1/PPP2PPP/R1B2RK1 w - -; acd 14; ce 768; pv Nh5 Bxh2+ Kh1 gxh5 Bxh7+ Kh8 Bg6+ Kg8 Qh7+ Kf8 Bh6+ Ke7 Qxf7+ Kd6 Qxe8 Qb6 Kxh2 Ne6 Rae1 Kc7 Qf7+ Kb8 Qxf6 h4 Qe5+ Nc7; bm Nh5; pm Nh5; id "BWTC.0503" r1bq1r2/ppp2pkp/3p2nn/2bN2NQ/2B1P3/8/PPp3PP/R1B2R1K w - -; acd 12; ce 657; pv Nf6 Qxf6 Rxf6 Kxf6 Nxh7+ Ke7 Bxh6 Rh8 Bg5+ Kd7 Bxf7 Rxh7 Qxh7 Ne5; bm Qxh6+; pm Nf6; id "BWTC.0134" r2k3r/pbp2pp1/6p1/8/2Bp4/P1nP4/P4PPP/R1B2RK1 b - -; acd 18; ce 529; pv Ne2+ Kh1 Kd7 Bf4 Nxf4 f3 Ne2 h3 Ng3+ Kh2 Nxf1+ Rxf1 f5 Re1 Rae8 Rb1 Rb8 Rb5 Bc6 Re5 Rb2; bm Ne2+; pm Ne2+; id "BWTC.0930" r1b4r/pp1pR2p/2q2p1k/6p1/3BR3/2PB4/P1P2PPP/6K1 w - -; acd 16; ce 282; pv Rf7 Qxe4 Bxe4 d5 Bd3 Kh5 f3 Be6 Rxf6 Rae8 Rxe6 Rxe6 Bxh8 Re1+ Kf2 Ra1 c4; bm Rh4+; pm Rf7; id "BWTC.0317" 6k1/p4p2/1p2p1p1/4P3/PP2bP2/2B1b2p/6PP/6RK b - -; acd 16; ce 119; pv Kh7; bm Kh7; pm Kh7; id "BWTC.0398" 8/7Q/6p1/7p/6qk/8/7K/8 w - -; acd 30; ce 0; pv Qe7+ Qg5 Qe4+ Qg4 Qe7+; bm Qe7+; pm Qe7+; id "BWTC.0647" rn3rk1/pp3ppp/3b1n2/2pPq3/2B1P3/1NN2bP1/PPPQ1P1P/R1B2RK1 b - -; acd 16; ce -62; pv Qh5 Re1 Ng4 h4 Ne5 Bf1 Bxe4 Be2 Bf3 Qe3 Bxe2 Rxe2 Qg4 Nd2 Qh3 Nde4 Ng4 Qg5 ; bm Qh5 ; pm Qh5 ; id "BWTC.0640"
